Live Music Capital of the World....
It looks like SW18 is book-ended by ACLMF this year. I was hoping there might be some 'filler' music throughout the week of SpiceWorld. I realize there are plenty of conference activities to keep us occupied, but I'm looking forward to my first, and possibly only, live rock show in the "Live Music Capital of the World".

I bought a ticket last year just in case I would be able to possibly go this year, but it is not going to happen as I am having to go out of state the weekend right before. Did not learn this until yesterday.
So with that being said, I also have a $99 ticket that I am looking to part with for $90 since that is about what I would have gotten back if I would have gotten it refunded if I would have known about this sooner.

I am having a problem having the Spiceworld App run on my Google Pixel 2 XL. Every time it runs it shuts down immediately. I have sen in the feedback for it to see if it could be fixed. Tuesday Night Spicehead Karaoke
When Spiceworld was a much smaller and more "unconventional" conference with a limited budget they had to come up with alternative ideas for entertainment. Previous years had shown that Spiceheads are "outgoing?" And so a legend was born. The first few years, conference goers got to partake in "Live Band Karaoke!" Its was epic, setting the tone of Spiceworld as a conference of legend!
Today with thousands in attendance, karaoke is not really an option . But Spice heads are not one to let a tradition die so easily.
In 2018 we are bringing back karaoke the way Spiceheads always do. With an "Unofficial Spiceheads Karaoke Night!"

Just a suggestion.
About 2-3 weeks before the conference. The Spiceworld forum in the community goes from ghost town to "chatty". My first year, I didn't know about the Spiceworld forum. The second year, it was the go to source for updates and info.
But, how many people in the community actually know there is a forum page for Spiceworld? Would it not be to your advantage, to say, pin a link/article up on the main community page for the next few weeks telling people to get on the Spiceworld discussion board?

SpiceBuddies Location Sharing: Useful?
We are looking for some feedback! Last year, the SpiceBuddies tried out a new feature with everyone, Google Location Tracking. Did you know that 30% of the SpiceHeads that go to SpiceWorld are doing so for the first time? I sure didn't, because I'm making that statistic up! But it is true that we have many who are attending this amazing conference for the first time! And we SpiceBuddies are here to help you get the most out of your experience!
The reason the SpiceBuddy program exists is because SpiceWorld can be overwhelming for those attending for the first time. I speak from experience that without knowing someone who's been before, I would have felt in over my head. I've been to quite a few other conferences, but SpiceWorld is the biggest one I've ever been to. There are also a bunch of activities going on around the conference as well. Excited to go Spiceworld and meet you guys and gals
HI Spiceheads,
I convinced our boss at Quadrotech to let us go to Spiceworld this year and was hoping to have a booth but they said not this year. I do think that we are sponsoring one of the events but not sure on details yet. So, at least we will be there and get to experience all the glory that is Spiceworld 2018. Another $99 Ticket for Sale!
I bought a ticket last year just in case I would be able to possibly go this year, but it is not going to happen as I am having to go out of state the weekend right before. Did not learn this until yesterday.
So with that being said, I also have a $99 ticket that I am looking to part with as well.

Austin B-cycle
Having visited Spiceworld in Austin 5 years now. With all the walking between the conference, 6th St, Rainey, the ACL. Everyone says to bring your comfy shoes. Or take a Pedi-cab. No matter what I have always come home with sore hoofs.
To make your days a little easier.I just wanted to throw this out for those attending.
Austin has a great Bicycle share program. For $18, you can get a 3 day pass. Looking at the map there are stations all over the downtown area. Many close to hotels where Spiceheads will be staying.

2018 SpiceHQ tour [Oct 8, 2018]
Wow, believe it or not, SpiceWorld 2018 is almost here! Where did the time go?! Anyways, as we generally do each year on the "Pre-Day" of the event, we'll be offering a tour of the Spiceworks Headquarters for anyone in town who'd like to drop by and see the office.
Since this is an 'unofficial' event, we can't offer assistance with transportation to or from our office, but typically SpiceHeads get together and share Ubers, Lyfts, taxis, carpool, etc. Feel free to coordinate in this topic!
This year's SpiceHQ tour will be held on Monday, October 8th at 1:30 PM, at our offices at 3700 North Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX. Ticket to Spiceworld
The short story of it all is that my boss has taken different job with another school district and because of this many of her responsibilities have fallen to me. The workload and the fact that I am now the sole person in charge of all things IT and somethings that don't fall under IT, SpiceWorld just isn't going to happen this year.

Ok, folks - I'm not going to be able to go, primarily, because I'm still unemployed after 2 1/2 months and other things have a priority ::gasp:: I know, I know - what can be more important than SW18? Well, other than bacon ;) So, here's the deal, right after SW17 I bought a $99 pass and, of course, didn't realize the cut-off for refunds was 8/13 (doh!), so, if anyone would like to buy the pass from me for $99, PM me and we will work out the details - PayPal is all I can accept at this time. Once I get payment, I'll letDana M (Spiceworks)know so the registration can be transferred to you.
