Several years ago, fully sure that I was going to be a little bored the night before the conference starts, I decided to take a chance and throw together an informal meetup. I posted it to the boards, and let nature take it course. In true Spiceworld form a couple dozen strangers showed up frosty and looking for the Spiceworld experience.
In 2016, with the encouragement of those that I had met the year before. I repeated the offer and a small group turned into a large mob. So we are carrying on the tradition for 2017, in what appears to be the unofficial, post welcome shindig kick off party for Spiceworld.
